The Balm Review

When it comes to doing make up, blush plays an unexpectedly major role in it. Why? Cause it is the blush that gives color to your face, it is the essential thing that ties up the whole entire look together. Either if you're new to make up or not, pretty much you have been familiar to this stuff called blush. With that being said, on my post today I will be reviewing products from The Balm and it is their Instain Blush. This is not a newly launched products from The Balm, it has been around for quite a while BUT it has just recently been introduced in The Balm booth at Medan.

Long story short, I attended The Balm's blogger exposure last month with Medanbeautygram fellas and there we were introduced to to their Instain Blush. It comes in 5 different beautiful shades, it has more peachy ones, even barbie pink one and also the one that lean more so towards mauve tones.

I chose the Houndstooth shades which I can described as a mauvy blush because it looks quite purply and intimidating in the pan, yet it is the blush color that I haven't had in my collection yet. So, I'm really excited to try it for myself.

Packaging wise, who doesn't know The Balm's packaging? Like come on?! It is always well thought and concept which I really really like. The blush is very compact and sleek, it even comes with a mirror and the pan is quite huge so it will be easy to used along with larger brush. It has magnetic closure so you don't have to be afraid if it is gonna open and crush inside your make up pouch. I love the packaging of the blush and I give 9/10 for it! (yep that is how much I love it)

The formula of this blush is pretty good, it is VERY pigmented so a little bit goes a long way. And I must say I am pretty surprise of how the color turns out to be, it looks like soft pink on my cheek unlike what it looks on the pan. I even use it as an eye shadow and I LOVE IT!!! It gives such a pretty romantic pinky touch to the eyes, it can also be a transition shade if you want to create bolder pinky look.

The Balm Instain Blush costs around idr 200,000 if I am not mistaken, considering it is a blush to me it is pretty pricy but maaaaann! the pan is hella huge probably will take forever to hit pan. If you were to invest on a good blush I think it is worth the penny. PS: you can find this gem at Sogo Sun Plaza.

Surprise surprise!! Besides being gifted with the Instain Blush, turns out we get to choose one of The Balm Meet Matte Hughes which is The Balm well known liquid lipstick. I do own one already in the shade 'Committed' so I chose the shade 'Sincere'. This shade is so pretty, it is nude but has mauvy tones which is something I haven't had as well in my lippies collection. So yeah I went on with this shade, I love it! So a quick review for the liquid lipstick, it is a very beautiful shade. It has that mint scent and it does feel minty too on the lips. I think it costs somewhat around idr 180,000ish I'm not sure. The applicator is nice too just like any other doe foot applicator. It is pigmented and does not look patchy on the lips at all, but sadly it accentuate the line on my lips which is yes (drying). Since it is matte, I can't blame it, it does what it claims to be. But you can always use a lip butter/ any lip balm  you have underneath so it won't dry out your lip that much.

OK! That is all for my review, I hope you find it useful. See ya on my next post!

much love,
xx
